A year in the making, NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion Nick Aldis will defend the “Ten Pounds of Gold” against “Producer” Peter Avalon at AZ150 at the Nile Theater. Avalon has kept good on his promise to bring the National Wrestling Alliance to Arizona and this title bout will be the icing on the cake. But this match will mean more to Avalon than just having his program highlighted on the NWA platform. 

One year ago, Champion Nick Aldis was unable to walk into the Nile Theater to put his title on the line due to travel issues. Peter Avalon wrestled former Worlds Champion Tim Storm in his place, sparking a months-long rivalry. After overcoming Tim Storm, PPA signed an NWA National Championship bout for Arizona stand out Ray Rosas. Seeing the fanfare that the NWA brought to Arizona, Nick Aldis agreed to defend the “Ten Pounds of Gold” at AZ150.

This will arguably be the most important match in Peter’s career at Championship Wrestling from Arizona, if not the most important match in his life. A decorated champion in his own right, Avalon will have all the tools necessary to bring a fight to Nick Aldis.
