Four Men Vie for the Arizona State Championship on May 4

Sparks. Watson. Avalon. Jeter.
Four names that belong to four men with a lot of momentum coming out of the Grand Canyon Clash. This Saturday at Championship Wrestling from Arizona’s Television Event at the Nile Theater each of these competitors will have an opportunity to call himself Champion.

“The Demolition Man” Johnny Jeter has spent the last few months sizing up what it would take to wear gold in the Copper State. Alongside LJ Ramos, Jeter has done a thorough job scouring the CWFAZ roster to test out the potential of everyone this side of the United Wrestling Network. After the duo picked up a win against the TucSons of Anarchy at the Grand Canyon Clash, Johnny Jeter is feeling strong heading into this Saturday’s Main Event – but he still has three more men to demolish in order to get his hand raised.

Having vanquished Oliver Grimsly at Grand Canyon Clash, Watson put himself directly into the title picture. A strong showing in this match will show us what the future of Watson looks like in the Grand Canyon State. He is Watson, but will he be the next Arizona State Champion?

The Arizona State Championship is the only major title that has eluded “Producer” Peter Avalon in his career. The former United Television Champion, Tag Team Champion, and longest reigning Hollywood Heritage Champion has been unable to capture the title closest to his grasp. If he can’t be the Champion, Peter will choose the Champion. But on May 4th, Avalon chooses himself.

E.J. Sparks has the tallest hill to climb in this bout. With three other competitors scrambling to take away everything that “Phoenix’s Favorite Son” holds dear, the Arizona State Champion has to have eyes in the back of his head. With the rules indicating that there are no count outs and no disqualifications, there is no easy way out for the Champion to retain. E.J. Sparks must fight to win, and the Champ wouldn’t want it any other way.

Four Men. One Champion. Be There.

CWFAZ presents this title bout and much more action including Silver Spotlight Tournament qualifiers Saturday May 4th, 2019 at the World Famous Nile Theater in Mesa, AZ.
